Tauheed Epps (also known as 2 Chainz), is an American rapper and hip hop artist. Georgia native, he started his musical career in hip hop with Playaz Circle, which he formed along with a high school friend. Their debut album, 'Supply and Demand It was a mixed success. Epps later released "Based on a T.R.U." Story', his debut studio album. It debuted at number one on US Billboard 200. It was a great commercial success. The album sold 147,000 copies within the first week! His success with the album has made him a household name and he swiftly became a star in the hip-hop scene in America. He has been nominated for six Grammy awards to date, out of which he has been awarded one for his song 'No Problem'. In 2013, he sparked controversy when he was caught with marijuana and promethazine onboard a departure flight from Los Angeles International Airport. His brush with law has not had any effect on his popularity. The latest album of his studiocalled "Pretty Girls Like Trap music', was released in June 2017. "Based on a T.R.U. Story', the debut studio album of 2 Chainz, can be regarded as his debut album and also the most successful album of his career. The album was an enormous hit and reached the first place on the US Billboard 200. In only one week, it had sold 147,000 copies. The album sold 623,000 copies during the period of the year. It was nominated for the Grammy Award in the category of Best Rap Album' at the 55th Grammy Awards. The majority of reviews were negative. 2 Chainz married Kesha Warren in the year 2013. The couple has three children, Heaven, Harmony, and Halo. He's not just a highly accomplished professional, but he is also well-known for his brush with the law. He has been arrested several times for possession of drugs.
