Deborah Rhea
Seehorn was born on the 12th of May 1972. She is well-known for her role as
attorney Kim Wexler on AMC's Better Call Saul (2015-2018), for which she was
awarded the Satellite Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Television Series,
Miniseries, or Television Film. She was also on the NBC series Whitney
(2011–2013) and ABC's I'm with Her 2003-2004, and TNT's Franklin & Bash
2011–2014. Deborah Rhea Seehorn was born in Norfolk, Virginia, on May 12 1972.
Her mother was an executive secretary for the United States Navy, her father
was an agent in Naval Investigative Service. The family resided in Washington,
D.C., Arizona, Japan, and was frequently moved throughout her early years.
Since the age of a child she was influenced by her grandparent and grandmother
to study painting, drawing and architecture. Although she pursued the visual
arts throughout her life, she developed a passion for acting. While in college
she was introduced contemporary theater. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree
in Studio Art from George Mason University in 1994. Seehorn started her career
in college as an actor, and was guided by her acting instructor. To be noticed,
she worked in other roles in D.C.'s theatre industry. She was able get some
important part in local theater productions. But, she was forced to do odd jobs
to pay the bills. To pay for the expenses, she also took on the roles of short
industrial instructional films. In the next few years, she became part of more
television productions. She was often compared to Bea Arthur, whom she
described as "very funny," "sarcastic, and well-educated"
women. However, most of these roles were short-run shows that were cancelled
after just two or three seasons. Seehorn was the lead in Better Call Saul, the
Breaking Bad spinoff series. Seehorn plays Kim Wexler (a lawyer) and is the
love interest of the titular Jimmy McGill/Saul Goodman.
