Sarah Chalke
Sarah Chalke was born in Ottawa, Ontario
Canada on 27 August 1976. Angie Chalke, and Doug Chalke are her parents. She is
the middle child. She has one older sister Natasha Chalke and one younger,
Piper Chalke. Sarah began her acting career in a made-for-TV film, City Boy
(1992). After her first movie Sarah was a candidate for the role as Becky on
Roseanne (1988) in 1993. The show was searching for an alternative to Alicia
Goranson, who left the show in order to attend studies at college. Sarah completed
her high school graduation in 1995 while shooting the 1994-1995 season of
Roseanne (1988). Also, in 1994, Sarah co-starred in the film, Ernest Goes to
School (1994), along with Jim Varney. She was in Robin of Locksley (1996) and
Stand Against Fear(1996). In these films she played the part of Krista Wilson
who was who was a cheerleader. Sarah was invited to be a part in a show from
1998 called Nothing Too Good for a Cowboy. This happened one year after
Roseanne (1988). The show was based off the TV movie with the same name that
was titled Nothing Too Good for a Cowboy (1998) that Sarah was also in. Took
over the role of Becky in Roseanne (1988) from Alicia Goranson in 1993. She
stated that she would like to quit acting and attend college. [2001] (1993-1997)
She played Sara Gilbert's elder sister on Roseanne (1988) However, she is
actually younger. Participated in the 1999 CCMA awards ceremony and was awarded
the prize for the most memorable single. September 1999: Appeared at age of 8
in Vancouver's theatre productions. She is fluent in French as well as German.
She is a volunteer at a hospice for sick children and also works with the
Audrey Hepburn Children's Fund. Chalke is a cook who enjoys eating with her
pals (especially Thai or sushi) and plays guitar, go on hikes, ski (she's an
instructor) and kayaking. Her father is a lawyer and her parents are mediators.
They also run an agency for adoption of children. Her parents took her to China
to facilitate the adoptions of multiple orphans.
