Kim Cattrall
Kim Victoria
Cattrall (born 21 August 1956) is an British and Canadian actress from Canada
and Britain. Her role as Samantha Jones in HBO's Sex and the City (1998-04) is
the most well-known of her roles. She was awarded five Emmy Award nominations
and four Golden Globe Award nominees. In 2002, she won the Golden Globe for
Best Supporting Actress. The role was reprised in the films Sex and the City
(2008) and Sex and the City 2 (2011). Cattrall made her film debut in Rosebud
(1975) and was later seen in different TV roles. The 1980s saw she gained to
fame with films like Ticket to Heaven (1981), Police Academy (1984) and Hold-Up
(1985). She was also in City Limits (1985), Big Trouble in Little China(86),
Mannequin (1987), Masquerade (1888), Midnight Crossing (1988) and The Return of
the Musketeers (1989). She appeared in a variety of films with director Bob
Clark, appearing in four of his films: Tribute (1980), Porky's (1981), Turk 182
(1985) and Baby Geniuses (1999). Additional credits include The Bonfire of the
Vanities (1990), Star Trek VI The Undiscovered Country (91), Split Second
(1992), Above Suspicion (95), and 15 Minutes (192001).
