Naomi Watts

Watts, born 28 September 1968, is an British actress from the UK. Her debut
film role came in Australia in For Love Alone (1986) and was followed by three
TV shows: Hey Dad.. (1990), Brides of Christ (911) and Home and Away (1991) and
Flirting (1991). Watts was an unpromising actress when she first came to the
United States. She acted in films with a small budget and then was a
professional actress. Watts became famous internationally by playing the
character. Watts was later cast as a tortured journalist in The Ring (2002).
She was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actress for her performance as
a grieving mother in Alejandro film 21 Grams (2003). Her fame grew through her
starring roles in I Heart Huckabees (2004), King Kong (2005), Eastern Promises
(2007) and The International (2009). Watts was also nominated for the Academy
Award as Best Actress for her role in The Impossible (2012). She was in films
such as Birdman (2014) St. Vincent (2014) and While We're Young (2015). Watts
kept her acting career going through major roles in blockbusters, including
Divergent (2015-2016).
